RHETT SKATEBOARDING

Concept Art

When I’m not designing for work, I’m probably designing something for fun. When I was approached by a friend to concept a t-shirt design for a local skate shop, I knew it would be just that; something fun.

A good portion of my childhood was spent in the city and around skateparks, which fed into my love for street art and graffiti. I wanted the illustration to speak to this culture—grungy, amusing, and a bit crude. The final result, a comedic take on the hassles of today’s skateparks, navigating scooter kids and wet graffiti paint.
